Just a brief update for now; the full meal deal should be up sometime tomorrow, or possibly by Monday.
The unexpected opening this week is the Bollywood film Dil Dhadakne Do, at the AMC Castleton Square 14 and the Regal Village Park Stadium 17. Love & Mercy wound up opening at four area theaters, the Keystone Art Cinema, the AMC Showplace 17 with IMAC, the Landmark Glendale 12, and the AMC Castleton Square 14. Beyond the Mask, meanwhile, opened at two area theaters, the AMC Showplace 17 with IMAX, and the Regal Greenwood Stadium 14 RPX, and the documentary Sunshine Superman opened at the Keystone Art Cienema. Finally, while Bloomington is a bit outside of the scope of coverage here, typically, I thought it was worth noting that the AMC Bloomington 11 got one show per day of Barely Lethal, while Indy got bupkus- the benefits of being a college town, I guess.
In upcoming theatrical release news, the World War 1 drama Testament of Youth now is scheduled to open at the Keystone Art Cinema on July 17. The KAC also has a standee up for the Amy Winehouse documentary Amy. The film's official site says it will be out in the US this July, but there is nothing that I could see on the site as of yet indicating when Amy will arrive in Indy.
Out of time for now, more later.
